About

SHROT is not here to tuck you into bed or lecture you about the ongoings in the world. This is a fast-paced, unapologetic boomer shooter inspired by the greats of the 90s. No boring cutscenes and no hand-holding – those are our main principles. All you have to do is get home from work, crack a beer and start the game with only one goa – kill everything that moves.

It’s that simple.

OUR MAIN CHARACTER - THE HERO THAT NO ONE ASKED FOR

You play as a trucker of Slavic origin who moved to the USA in search of a better life – driving trucks and drinking beer.

He’s not a soldier, or a chosen one prophesized by ancient text. He’s just a guy with a beeer belly that enters the room before he does.

As he often says: “The best corn grows under the hill”

He’s ‘American by paycheck, Slavic by blood,’ and he’s just trying to survive a workday that went horribly wrong.

Our protagonist didn’t choose to be a hero, he’s just a man who woke up one day, shrugged his shoulders and decided that “it could always be worse”. There is only one way to handle this apocalypse and that is with a mix of unresolved anger issues and a six pack of beer.

This is no worse than another delay on his route and he’s more than happy to hit the road with as much lead and snappy one-liners as possible.

47 REASONS TO KEEP YOUR FINGER ON THE TRIGGER

There is nothing more annoying than figuring out the exact amount of enemy types within the first hour of the game. That’s why in SHROT we will offer 47 unique enemies. Just when you think you got used to what’s coming at you, you get slapped with a new enemy type that you did not see coming.

Our enemies aren’t just of the alien kind, we’ve included robots, humans taken over by the alien race and many more of all shapes and sizes.

Whether it’s a tiny Swarmer or a massive biological nightmare, they all share one fate: being turned into a colorful smear on the pavement, but we leave all that fun to you!

MISSION - SURVIVE

Your mission is simple, survive the apocalypse and make sure the aliens regret that they chose Earth as their new nesting ground. You job is to try a wide arsenal of weapons we have available and to kill the aliens in the most colorful ways you could imagine.

In short, you shoud: Shoot,  Hit, Reload, Overkill and Terminate.

You will have to navigate unknown landscapes, scavenge for ammo and master the art of drinking enough beer – because in this world, only one thing is worse than a warm beer, and that is a cold woman. Along the way you will upgrade your arsenal of 9 weapons to handle various types of enemies.

The end goal?

Board the mothership, sabotage the core and kick the alien’s asses to right where they from. No map markers, no hand-holding – just you, your guns and beer to keep you refreshed and ready for more action. Every level is packed with secrets, shortcuts and enough enemies to fill a graveyard and quench your insatiable thirst for blood. Master your movement, time your reloads and keep that thirst quenched.

This game was not built to be easy, it was built so you remember what real shooters felt like and those that never experienced them to know how games used to be played. No mercy – just raw skill and a lot of luck.

THE ROAD TO RETRIBUTION

This isn’t just a fight; it’s a cross-country rampage. Your journey follows a brutal 1,200-mile route through the ruins of the American West. You’ll start by clearing out the Bakers Gas Station, survive the neon-soaked death traps of Las Vegas, and board a high-speed Train to Albuquerque.

Every stop is a new nightmare, every mile is paid for in lead. Your final destination? Denver, where the heart of the invasion beats. Reach the base, sabotage the core, and end this mess once and for all. No GPS, no backup—just you and the open road.
